I’m 37, married, and a British national living in Dubai. But before I found my person, I went through the same exhausting journey that so many single Muslims face. I’ve dealt with Rishta aunties, been forwarded around in WhatsApp groups, and swiped endlessly on apps that led nowhere. I know firsthand how frustrating and emotionally draining it can be—for both men and women—to find someone who truly fits.
